Program Description

This enduring webcast presented by Dr. Bruce Cohen of Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University, will cover the treatment and management of patients with multiple sclerosis (MS). This includes 3D animations depicting the pathophysiology and treatments for MS. It is designed to meet the needs of neurologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals treating patients with MS.

Intended Audience

This activity is designed to meet the needs of neurologists, nurses, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals treating patients with MS.

Educational Objectives

Upon completion of the program, participants should be able to:

  • Review the complex pathophysiology, intricate diagnostic criteria, and progression of MS.
  • Discuss the safety and efficacy of current and emerging therapies for the treatment of MS, as well as best practices for managing MS in the clinical setting.
  • Recognize the importance of MS patients’ unmet needs, particularly those pertaining to medical management, and how to address such concerns.
  • Develop strategies to reduce relapses secondary to nonadherence in patients with MS, as well as patient-based quality indicators to assess their quality of life.
