ResMed announced that the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted clearance for ResMed AirMini™, the smallest continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device for patients with sleep apnea.

The AirMini is intended for use as a secondary CPAP, allowing users to continue therapy while traveling. The fully-featured CPAP device fits in carry-on luggage and in seatback pockets of airplanes.

The ResMed AirMini is anticipated to launch later in 2017. The company also offers various sleep apnea devices including CPAP, bilevel, autotitration, and others.
