Indications for: BENZACLIN

Acne vulgaris.

Adult Dosage:

Apply twice daily.

Children Dosage:

Not recommended.

BENZACLIN Contraindications:

History of regional enteritis, ulcerative or antibiotic-associated colitis.

BENZACLIN Warnings/Precautions:

Avoid eyes, mucous membranes, sun, UV light. Discontinue if significant diarrhea occurs. Pregnancy (Cat.C). Nursing mothers: not recommended.

BENZACLIN Classification:

Lincosamide antibiotic + antibacterial/keratolytic.

BENZACLIN Interactions:

Additive irritation with other topical agents. Avoid erythromycin.

Adverse Reactions:

Dry skin, application site reaction, pruritus, peeling, erythema, sunburn, may bleach fabrics or hair; rare: superinfection, colitis.
