A final note
I have recently learned about the existence of the “cinnamon challenge” and the “eraser challenge.” Your task: Learn about these “challenges,” listen to your adolescent patients, incorporate risk and behavioral screening into daily practice, and offer anticipatory guidance. Go ahead and ask questions of these patients, such as what other “challenges” exist. You may be surprised at how willing the adolescent is to share information and you may learn a few amazing things!
